Jennifer Carter is a Full Time Lecturer at Stony Brook University, specializing in 20th/21st century continental philosophy, phenomenology, feminist philosophy, ethics, and philosophy of science/technology. She holds a Ph.D. (2018), M.A. (2012) from Stony Brook University, and a B.A. (2000) from UC Santa Cruz.
Her research explores Luce Irigaray's theories of touch and critiques of Western metaphysics, intersections between phenomenology and quantum mechanics, and challenges posed by AI and emerging technologies to traditional boundaries between natural and artificial.
