Dr. Jennifer C. West is an Associate Professor (Part-Time) in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester Medical Center, School of Medicine and Dentistry. She serves as Director of Clinical Psychology Training and Director of the Child and Adolescent Doctoral Internship Track since 2007.
As co-director of the University of Rochester Firearm Injury Prevention Program, she focuses on reducing firearm-related injuries through community partnerships. She also provides psychological services for the Cleft and Craniofacial Team at Golisano Children's Hospital.
- Clinical expertise: Child/adolescent mental health, chronic medical conditions (asthma, diabetes, craniofacial anomalies), anxiety/mood disorders
- Specialized training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Research focus: Innovative educational methodology using standardized patients, implementer fidelity assessment

- Rita Underberg Award for Excellence in Teaching (2005, 2009, 2022)

Dr. West has also led diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in psychology training programs and teaches in the Pediatric Dentistry Resident program at Eastman Institute for Oral Health.
