Jennifer Buckner

Jennifer Buckner serves as Associate Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences and Professor of English at Gardner-Webb University, where she also coordinates Composition Studies.

Dr. Buckner specializes in Composition Studies and Soundwriting Pedagogies, with research focused on integrating sound into rhetoric and writing instruction. Her work emphasizes practical classroom applications and innovative teaching methods that engage students through multimodal composition approaches.

Dr. Buckner recently co-authored Chapter 17 in the volume "Amplifying Soundwriting Pedagogies: Integrating Sound into Rhetoric and Writing" published by the WAC Clearinghouse. This work features 25 practical activities and assignments for soundwriting instruction, complete with student samples and reflections that demonstrate effective implementation in writing classrooms.
