Jennifer Brannock is Professor and Curator of Rare Books and Mississippiana at the University of Southern Mississippi. She holds an M.S. in Library and Information Science from University of Kentucky (2000) and B.A. in Art History from the same institution (1997). Brannock oversees bibliographic instruction, reference services, collections development, and digital humanities initiatives in special collections.
Her research examines special collections pedagogy, archival outreach, and cultural documentation through cookbooks. Recent publications explore community cookbooks as historical sources, digital collections management, and archival instruction methods. Brannock teaches courses on archival research methods and digital humanities partnerships.
Her scholarly work consistently addresses strategies for enhancing access to archival materials and documenting cultural history through unconventional sources. Research has been supported by grants for digitizing Mississippi community cookbooks and developing pedagogical frameworks for archival engagement.
