Jennifer Beam Dowd is Professor of Demography and Epidemiology at the University of Oxford's Leverhulme Centre for Demographic Science. Her research examines mortality patterns, infectious disease dynamics, aging processes, and biosocial science. Awarded the 2022 Clifford C. Clogg Award for outstanding mid-career achievement in population studies, she also received the 2021 O²RB Excellence in Impact Award for COVID-19 related policy interventions. Her work develops frameworks for understanding population health through demographic lenses.
