Jenna Robinson, PhD Candidate, is an Assistant Professor in the Expressive Arts Therapy department at the School of Professional Psychology and Health, California Institute for Integral Studies (CIIS). She concurrently serves as core faculty in the Counseling Psychology program at the Wright Institute. Her work integrates performance poetry with therapeutic practices, emphasizing marginalized voices. She holds an M.A. in Expressive Arts Therapy from CIIS and a B.A. from the University of Hawai’i - Manoa.
Her research focuses on trauma-informed narrative therapy, intergenerational healing, and expressive arts as tools for resistance. She runs an intergenerational therapeutic writing program through Bay Area Creative and has developed trauma-informed workshops for survivors of abuse and system-engaged youth.
Jenna’s awards include a national poetry slam runner-up title (2015) and two Hawaii Slam championships. She is currently training in Poetry Therapy under Dr. Sherry Reiter.
