Jenelle Benson

Jenelle Benson is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Southern Cross University (SCU) and a Teaching Associate at the Gnibi College of Indigenous Australian Peoples. She holds a BA(OTHOS), MA(OTHOS), and EdD(OTHOS). Her primary roles include teaching introductory statistics in Engineering, Mathematics, and Science at SC College, alongside delivering mathematics and science content for undergraduates at Griffith University and teaching Introductory Chemistry at the University of Queensland.

Her research interests focus on Mathematics and Science education, with an emphasis on Online Education, STEM Education, Constructive Alignment, and the integration of Generative AI in pedagogical design. She explores innovative strategies in Online Pedagogy, Educational Design, and the adaptation of science courses to digital platforms.

Benson’s work spans curriculum development, student success interventions, and leveraging emerging technologies like smartpens and digitization tools to enhance learning. Current research collaborations involve the Faculty of Science and Engineering and Gnibi College, emphasizing culturally responsive and technologically adaptive educational practices.
