Jen Evers

Jen Evers is a Clinical Assistant Professor and Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Program Director at Utah State University (USU) Moab. She has a dual background in Geography and Environmental Studies (BS, University of Utah, 2000) and Social Work (MSW, University of Montana, 2008).

Her research and practice focus on systemic factors influencing clients, with expertise in trauma, domestic violence, gender issues, and mental health. She has worked extensively in rural clinical settings, including roles on the Flathead Indian Reservation and in Missoula, Montana, before transitioning to academia. Currently, she also operates a part-time private mental health practice in Moab, Utah.

Jen emphasizes the advanced generalist perspective in social work, integrating her understanding of systems theory into both teaching and clinical practice. She has contributed to school therapy programs, supporting students during transitional periods.
