Jemma Tee

Jemma Tee is an Associate Lecturer at York Law School, University of York, since 2022. A non-practising solicitor, she brings extensive experience from 7 years at City of York Council (Public Childcare law, Social Housing, Litigation) and 5 years in private family law practice.

She holds an LLB (Hons) and LPC (Merit) from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and qualified as a solicitor in 2009.

Her professional focus lies in Public Childcare Law and Family Law, coupled with innovative approaches in Problem Based Learning and Legal Education. She actively integrates practical legal expertise into pedagogical methods, emphasizing real-world application through clinical teaching.

Ms Tee supervises third-year students in the Baroness Hale Law Clinic and delivers core modules including Legal & Professional Skills (Year 1) and Problem Based Learning (Years 1-2). She maintains professional engagement through membership in The Law Society.
