Jeffrey R. Wozniak

Dr. Jeffrey R. Wozniak is Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at Sam Houston State University. His ecosystem ecology research utilizes wetland systems to study nutrient cycling, ecosystem responses to environmental drivers, and habitat management strategies. His interdisciplinary approach examines both biotic and abiotic factors across diverse aquatic ecosystems including the Florida Everglades, Texas Gulf Coast wetlands, and freshwater systems across multiple states.

Current research investigates drought impacts on coastal vegetation, wetland management effects on aquatic invertebrates, and hydrologic connectivity influences on fish populations in high-salinity coastal environments.
