Jeffrey Petersen

Jeffrey Petersen, Ph.D., is a full-time Professor in the Department of Sport Management at Baylor University's School of Education. He serves as director of the Graduate Program in Sport Management and has held interim leadership roles in Educational Leadership. With extensive experience at Ball State University, Loras College, and high school-level athletic administration, Petersen specializes in sport facility design, management curriculum, interscholastic sport sponsorship, and Youth Olympic Games research.

His research has secured over $1.5 million in combined internal and external funding, supporting graduate assistantships through partnerships with major sports organizations. Recognized with multiple awards including AAHPERD Research Fellow and Applied Sport Management Association's Distinguished Service Award, Petersen maintains active leadership roles in professional associations.
