Jeffrey McCullough

Jeffrey McCullough, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Management and Policy at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. He holds a PhD in Health Economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a BA in Biochemistry from Harvard University. His research focuses on the economics of health information technology, health technology markets, and industrial organization. His work bridges health policy and econometric analysis, with a particular emphasis on telehealth utilization, medical device outcomes, and healthcare disparities.

Dr. McCullough’s publications span topics such as telemedicine’s impact on healthcare spending, disparities in left ventricular assist device (LVAD) use, and the role of pharmaceutical promotions in the opioid crisis. Notable contributions include studies on telehealth adoption trends during the pandemic, predictors of cardiac rehabilitation participation, and cost-effectiveness of medical interventions.
