Jeffrey L. Helms is a tenured Professor in the Department of Psychological Science at Kennesaw State University. With over two decades of experience since joining KSU in 2003, he has developed and taught diverse undergraduate and graduate courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats, including Careers in Psychology and Psychopathology.

His research focuses on the scholarship of teaching and attitudes/prejudice toward bisexual individuals. Notably, he co-authored the award-winning book Majoring in Psychology, which received the 2012 Foundation Prize for Publication in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at KSU.
Dr. Helms maintains licensure as a psychologist in Georgia and Hawaii, with clinical experience spanning community mental health, inpatient psychiatric facilities, and forensic environments. He collaborates with students in his research, as evidenced by his 2016 publication with A. M. Waters in the Journal of Bisexuality.
