Jeffrey Krause

Dr. Jeffrey Krause is an Associate Professor at the University of South Alabama and Senior Marine Scientist II at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab. He holds a Ph.D. in Oceanography from Oregon State University (2008). His research focuses on phytoplankton ecology, particularly diatoms, examining their roles in biogeochemical cycles, ocean productivity, and climate regulation. Krause’s work spans global marine ecosystems from equatorial regions to the Arctic.
