Jeffrey M. Kenkel, MD, FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon and Professor and Chair of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He also holds the Betty and Warren Woodward Chair in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and serves as Director of the Clinical Center for Cosmetic Laser Treatment. Dr. Kenkel is Editor of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal and has held leadership roles including Past-President of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and the Dallas Society of Plastic Surgery.
Research Interests: Dr. Kenkel's work focuses on laser and light-based device applications in plastic surgery, fat grafting techniques, and noninvasive body contouring. His academic practice emphasizes clinical outcomes, device safety, and technological innovation in aesthetic procedures.
