Jeff K. Phillips serves as an Adjunct Faculty member in the BA Program at Antioch University Santa Barbara while holding a full-time position as a senior fish and wildlife biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Currently acting as Conservation Banking Coordinator for the Ventura field office, his career spans environmental contaminants biology, oil spill response, and geographic division supervision across Ventura and Honolulu field offices since 2005.
He earned a Master of Arts from UC Santa Barbara’s Donald Bren School of Environmental Science & Management (2005) and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Conservation with a minor in Environmental, Population and Organismic Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder (1994).
His expertise centers on environmental science and wildlife conservation, with specialized focus on natural resource damage assessment, water quality management, and ecological restoration. Fieldwork includes creek restoration projects and policy advising for coastal ecosystems, reflecting integration of scientific practice with community environmental governance.
