Commander Jeff Janaro serves as a Management Instructor in the School of Leadership and Management at the United States Coast Guard Academy. With a career spanning legal, command, and educational roles, he holds advanced degrees in law (JD, George Washington University) and public administration (MPA, Strayer University), along with a Master of Liberal Arts in International Relations from Harvard University. His legal expertise includes roles as Chief of Defense Services and Staff Judge Advocate (General Counsel) at the Academy.
Education highlights include a B.S. from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (2004), MPA (2009), JD (2017), and MLA (2018). Professional certifications include Florida Bar licensure and fellowship in MIT Seminar XXI, Carnegie Council for Ethics, and Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
