Jeff Frooman is a Professor jointly appointed between the Faculty of Arts (Philosophy) and Faculty of Management (Finance) at the University of New Brunswick. He holds a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh and received the UNB Merit Award in 2018 for outstanding contributions across teaching, research, and university service.
Professor Frooman's research examines ethical dimensions of markets, trust dynamics, and agency relationships in business contexts. His recent work explores moral boundaries of markets, consumer fraud mechanisms, and corporate social responsibility implementation. He serves as President of the Society for Business Ethics (2019-2022) and previously as Executive Director.
His teaching portfolio includes Philosophical Classics in Ethics, Business Ethics, Symbolic Logic, Applied Professional Ethics, and Capitalism vs. Communism. Research outputs demonstrate methodological diversity from theoretical ethics to empirical finance studies.
Honors include leadership roles in international ethics associations and editorial positions including Associate Editor for Business and Society (2008-2010).
