Jeff Ericksen

Jeff Ericksen is an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University's School of Human Resources and Labor Relations (HRLR) with a partial appointment at the College of Social Science's Center for Integrative Studies (CIS). He previously held positions as Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2006-2009) and Lecturer at Yale University (2006). He earned a PhD in Human Resource Studies from Cornell University's ILR School (2006), an MBA from Cornell's Johnson School (1998), and a BA in Psychology from St. Olaf College (1992).

His research focuses on strategic human resource management, project teams, and employee well-being. Key areas include workforce alignment, organizational agility, and HR practices in small businesses. Ericksen teaches courses on HR strategy, compensation, and leadership, with consistently high student evaluations (SIRS scores).
