Jeff Baggett

Jeff Baggett is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. His research focuses on deep learning, machine learning applications in radiology, optimization techniques, inverse problems, and environmental modeling. He teaches advanced courses such as Calculus 3 (MTH310) and Prescriptive Analytics (DS775).

Baggett has been recognized with the Friend of Graduate & Extended Learning Award in 2023, presented at a ceremony in La Crosse. He actively participates in academic initiatives, including serving as a UWL representative at the UW System's Faculty College event in 2023, which addressed rethinking student assignments. His work bridges theoretical mathematics with practical data science applications, contributing to interdisciplinary efforts in environmental and medical fields.
