Dr. Jeeda Alhakim is a Senior Lecturer and Senior Tutor for Research on the Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at City St George's, University of London. She leads doctoral research activities, supervises theses, designs curriculum, and co-chairs the EDI Psychology Committee.
Her clinical and research focus spans:
- Culturally responsive therapy for marginalized communities
- Trauma and identity issues in conflict-affected populations
- Decolonization of psychology education
She maintains a private practice and consults for international NGOs including Norwegian Refugee Council and Greenpeace, providing mental health frameworks in conflict zones. Dr. Alhakim co-leads research projects on mental health interventions in Afghanistan and interprofessional reflective practice in NHS settings.
