Dr. Jeanne Yeasting is a Senior Lecturer in the English Department at Western Washington University, housed within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. She teaches creative writing (poetry, nonfiction, fiction) and literature courses. Her research focuses on Romantic, Victorian, and Post-Colonial literature, with emphases on contemporary Indian literature, Gothic themes, and conduct literature. She has published poems and nonfiction in national/international journals and is currently authoring a book of ekphrastic poetry inspired by the Medici circle’s women and children.
Her creative work extends to multimedia and collaborative performances. In 2007, she was awarded a residency at France’s Moulin à Nef. She maintains an active academic presence, balancing teaching, research, and artistic expression.
