Jeanne Baggen

Jeanne Baggen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orofacial Pain and Dysfunction at the Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA). Her research focuses on neuropathic pain, temporomandibular disorders, and Orofacial Pain diagnosis. She holds ancillary roles as a Gnathologie Specialist in Nijmegen (since 2019) and an Advisor for KNMT in Nieuwegein (since 2023).

Her research interests include exploring pain mechanisms in jaw disorders, treatment histories of chronic pain patients, and improving diagnostic approaches. She has published on topics like neuropathic pain characteristics in temporomandibular disorders and qualitative analyses of patient narratives.

Baggen has presented lectures on topics such as burning mouth syndrome, OSAS in orthodontics, and sleep medicine. She is a member of the Nederlandse Vereniging Tandheelkundige Slaapgeneeskunde (2016–2017). Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration to address complex oro-facial pain conditions.
