Dr. Jeanie Darnell is a Professor of Music and Head of Vocal Studies at Florida Gulf coast University’s Bower School of Music & the Arts. A renowned concert artist, she specializes in soprano solo performances of major oratorio repertoire and has collaborated with orchestras such as the Naples Philharmonic, Southwest Florida Symphony, and Opera Naples. Her career includes international engagements in Europe and South America.
Education: Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Colorado-Boulder (2002). She previously led the voice program at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Research focuses on vocal pedagogy, adolescent vocal development, and contemporary music.
