Dr. Jean Park is an Adjunct Professor of Music - Piano at Meredith College, where she teaches Fundamentals of Music and piano. Previously, she served as piano faculty at the University of the Incarnate Word and San Antonio College (2018–2023). She holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts from Stony Brook University (studying under Gilbert Kalish), a Master’s in Music in Piano Performance from Manhattan School of Music, and a dual Bachelor of Arts in Music and Business Administration from the University of Washington.
Her research and professional interests focus on piano performance and pedagogy. Notable achievements include winning first place in the graduate division of the Schubert Club Competition and extensive adjudication experience in national and regional music competitions. She has performed across the U.S. and internationally, with radio and film soundtrack features. Dr. Park has held leadership roles in music teacher associations, including the Piano Teachers Congress of New York, San Antonio Music Teachers Association, and the Cary Apex Piano Teachers Association.
Her career highlights include serving as a piano teaching assistant at Stony Brook University and contributing to music education through adjudication for competitions like the Texas State University Concerto and Aria Competition and Raleigh Piano Teachers Association Young Artist Audition.
