Jean Nicot

Jean Nicot is a Research Professor at the Bureau of Economic Geology, part of the Jackson School of Geosciences at The University of Texas at Austin. He is a staff member of the Gulf Coast Carbon Center (GCCC), focused on carbon storage and geoscience research. His work addresses critical issues in energy and environmental sustainability.

Research interests include carbon capture and storage (CCS), subsurface reservoir characterization, and geological sequestration technologies. His contributions help advance understanding of CO2 storage potential and environmental impacts in coastal regions.
