Jean MacIntosh Turfa is a Researcher affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania's School of Arts & Sciences, associated with the Penn Museum. She has taught at universities in the U.S. and United Kingdom, focusing on Etruscan, Phoenician, and Carthaginian cultures, as well as ancient Mediterranean trade and architecture.

Dr. Turfa has participated in excavations across the U.S., U.K., Italy, and Greece, including Corinth and Poggio Civitate (Murlo), and contributed to projects at the Manchester Museum, Liverpool Museum, and British Museum. She served as Curatorial Consultant for the Penn Museum's Kyle M. Phillips Etruscan Gallery reinstallation.
