Jayson Harsin is a Professor at the American University of Paris (AUP), specializing in post-truth politics, media communication, and cultural studies. He has held roles as Director of AUP's Center for Media, Communication & Global Change and former Chair of the Philosophy, Theory & Critique division at the International Communication Association (ICA). His research examines disinformation, fake news, and the cultural dynamics of political communication, with a focus on gender, trust, emotion, and the digital attention economy. Harsin earned his PhD from Northwestern University, MA from the University of Illinois, and BA (Honors) from the University of Kansas.
His work bridges theoretical critique and empirical analysis, exploring how post-truth phenomena intersect with media practices and societal structures.
