Jayne Wisniewski

Jayne Wisniewski is a Clinical Associate Professor and Program Director of the Radiologic Technology program at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee, within the Department of Biomedical Sciences in the College of Health Sciences. She is actively engaged in teaching and program leadership in diagnostic imaging sciences.

Her research and teaching interests focus on core areas of radiologic technology, including radiation biology, radiation protection, radiologic physics, digital imaging, and radiographic equipment operation. These fields reflect her dedication to advancing education in medical imaging and patient safety.

She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, American Society of Radiologic Technologists, Wisconsin Society of Radiologic Technologists, Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences, and the Wisconsin Association of Educators in Radiologic Technology, indicating strong engagement with both clinical and academic communities in radiologic sciences.

With over a decade of experience, including her tenure at Columbia St. Mary’s School of Radiologic Technology from September 2002 to August 2013, she brings extensive practical and educational expertise to her current role. She teaches key courses such as Radiation Biology, Radiation Protection, Radiologic Physics, Digital Imaging, Principles of Radiographic Imaging, Radiographic Equipment and Operation, Patient Care, Professionalism, and Radiographic Quality Assurance, shaping future radiologic technologists.
