Jayne Mugglestone

Jayne Mugglestone is a Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University's Faculty of Health and Education, based in the Brooks Building. With over 30 years of frontline experience across voluntary and statutory sectors, she has worked extensively with children, young people, and adults in diverse settings including health services, social care, youth programs, mental health initiatives, and sexual health education. She holds a BA (Hons) in Communication Studies and maintains dual qualifications as a certified counsellor and holistic therapeutic massage practitioner.

Research Focus

Her scholarly interests center on systemic challenges affecting vulnerable populations, particularly:

• Trauma-informed approaches for CSE survivors
• Intersectionality of disability rights and social care
