Jayme Hayes

Jayme Hayes serves as an Assistant Professor in the School of Science and Mathematics at Mid-America Christian University (MACU), where she has taught since Fall 2021. She delivers core biology curriculum across both traditional undergraduate programs and the College of Adult and Graduate Studies.

Her academic foundation includes:

• Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Oklahoma
• Master's in Biomedical Sciences from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences

Prior to MACU, she gained teaching experience as a lab assistant and teaching assistant for upper-division Microbiology courses at OU.

Professor Hayes' instructional focus spans Microbiology, Cell Biology, Genetics, and Embryology, reflecting her dual expertise in foundational biological sciences and biomedical applications. She actively integrates scientific inquiry with her Christian faith in pedagogy while pursuing doctoral studies (PhD/EdD) to advance her academic credentials.

Outside academia, she engages in national park conservation through hiking and clean-up initiatives, church volunteerism, and outdoor recreation including kayaking across Oklahoma's landscapes.
