Jayaprakash Rajasekharan is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electric Power Engineering (IEL) at NTNU. He holds a B.E. in Electronics and Communication from Madras University (2003), an M.Sc. in Communication Engineering from Technical University of Munich (2005), and a D.Sc. in Signal Processing from Aalto University (2016). His research focuses on energy informatics, smart grids, and electricity markets. He previously worked as a Senior Researcher at Smart Innovation Norway.

He coordinates courses on Energy Systems Planning and Renewable Energy Informatics. As a supervisor, he guides six PhD candidates and co-supervises postdoctoral fellows in flexibility estimation and hydropower scheduling.
