Dr. Jayadev Vijayan is a Dame Kathleen Ollerenshaw Research Fellow and Head of the Quantum Engineering Lab at the University of Manchester's Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. His research focuses on developing quantum technologies using mechanical and atomic systems, particularly in optomechanics, levitated nanoparticles, and quantum sensors. He holds a PhD in Quantum Many-Body Physics from the Max Planck Institute for Quantum Optics and a Master's in Optics and Photonics from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.

Research interests include quantum optomechanics, levitated systems, quantum control, and applications in inertial sensing. His lab explores quantum engineering with doped quantum emitters and advanced optical systems.
