Jay Johnson

Jay Johnson is a Lecturer and Director of the George V. Voinovich Academy for Excellence in Public Service at Ohio University's Dublin Campus. With over 30 years of government/military experience as a Marine Corps officer, he specializes in leadership development, team building, and strategic leadership across organizational levels. His career includes executive roles at the U.S. Army Command & General Staff College, where he mentored 1,300+ students globally.

• Bachelor's in Criminal Justice, Ohio University (1986)
• Master’s in Public Administration, Webster University
• Master’s in National Resource Strategy, National Defense University (The Eisenhower School)

Jay’s research and practice focus on agile leadership training, interagency collaboration, and global security challenges. He has also contributed to curriculum development and advanced strategic studies.

He actively volunteers with Toys for Tots and the Semper Fi Society, supporting wounded Marines, while pursuing hobbies in physical fitness, military history, and family time.
