Professor Javier Ortega holds the position of Professor of Economics at Kingston University London, where he has served as Associate Dean for Research (2020–2024) and Interim Dean (2021–2023). He is also a Visiting Senior Fellow at the European Institute, London School of Economics. His career includes roles as Head of the Economics Department at City, University of London (2013–2017) and Associate Professor at Toulouse School of Economics (1998–2008).
