Javier Alcalde

Javier Alcalde is an associated researcher at the Scuola Normale Superiore's Faculty of Political and Social Sciences, focusing on social movements, peace activism, and refugee solidarity. He holds a PhD in Social and Political Sciences from the European University Institute. His work examines the intersection of social movements and media, including analyses of protests around the refugee crisis, the Zapatistas, and the Esperanto movement.
