Jaume Ventura

Jaume Ventura is a Professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), Director and Senior Researcher at the Centre de Recerca en Economia Internacional (CREI), and Research Professor at the Barcelona School of Economics (Barcelona GSE). He has held academic positions at MIT, the University of Chicago, London Business School, INSEAD, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. His research focuses on international economics, macroeconomics, and political economy, particularly asset bubbles, globalization, and economic unions.

Professor Ventura's research spans macroeconomic theory, international trade, and financial globalization. His recent publications address credit bubbles, globalization, economic unions, and sovereign debt markets, reflecting trends in macroeconomic modeling, financial system analysis, and policy design. Key themes include international financial integration, market frictions, and the role of institutions in shaping economic outcomes.
