Jasper Verschuur

Jasper Verschuur is an Assistant Professor at Delft University of Technology's Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management, specializing in Engineering Systems and Climate Security. He leads the Human Security and Liveable Environment Flagship at the Climate Safety & Security Centre (CaSS) in The Hague and holds an honorary affiliation at the University of Oxford's Environmental Change Institute.

Recent trends in his publications focus on climate adaptation finance mechanisms, disparities in food access through geospatial trade cost analysis, coastal infrastructure vulnerabilities, and green ammonia energy storage solutions. These works emphasize cross-border systemic risks, policy evaluation, and real-time data integration.

Professional engagements include advising the World Bank, OECD, EBRD, and UK Government on systemic risks and infrastructure planning. He co-founded the PortWatch platform for global trade monitoring and contributes to international climate resilience frameworks.
