Jasper Tromp

Dr. Jasper Tromp is an Assistant Professor at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore (NUS), with secondary affiliations at Duke-NUS Medical School and Yong Loo Ling School of Medicine. His work focuses on digital health interventions, non-communicable diseases (NCDs) in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), and their intersection with tropical infectious diseases and healthcare systems.

Tromp’s research emphasizes policy and implementation in digital health, particularly task-shifting NCD care to primary care providers and non-physician workers in Southeast Asia. His recent publications analyze heart failure outcomes, multimorbidity in Asian populations, and socioeconomic determinants of cardiovascular health.

His awards include the 2021 Inter-Academic Partnership Young Physician Leader, 2020 World Heart Federation Emerging Leader, and the 2018 Paul Dudley White International Scholar award. He is also a member of the American Heart Association’s Expert Committee on heart failure care in Southeast Asia.
