Jason Zinser

Jason Zinser is an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where he has taught since 2015. He earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Florida State University, an M.A. in Philosophy from Texas A&M University, and a B.S. in Psychology and Philosophy from UWSP. His research focuses on the intersection of the history and philosophy of biology with environmental ethics, exploring foundational questions in evolutionary theory and moral philosophy.

Research Interests: Zinser's work bridges the philosophy of science (particularly biology) with ethical frameworks for environmental stewardship. His publications examine topics such as meme theory, chance in evolutionary processes, and altruism's biological and moral dimensions.

Selected Publications: His notable works include contributions to the anthology Evolution: The First Four Billion Years and a chapter in The Daily Show and Philosophy.
