Jason Winfree

Jason Winfree is a Professor at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology within the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Idaho. He holds a Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. from Washington State University.

His research focuses on the economics of market structures, industrial organization, collective reputation, food quality standards, and sports economics. Jason’s publications span topics like quality regulation in developing countries, voluntary food standards, and the interplay between collective reputation and market trust. These studies reflect a consistent emphasis on consumer behavior, industrial organization, and agricultural markets.
