Jason Van Acker is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Business Administration at Wisconsin Lutheran College (WLC), part of the School of Business. He holds a B.A. in Communication from WLC and an M.B.A. in Marketing and Sales from Keller Graduate School of Management. With over 20 years of professional experience in marketing leadership roles across broadcast television, higher education, franchising, and healthcare sectors, he brings extensive industry insights into his teaching.
His research focuses on customer experience strategy and the evolving media landscape's impact on marketing communications. Teaching courses include Introduction to Business, Sales Management, Small Business Management, Marketing Research, Advertising Management, Digital/Social Media Marketing, and Consumer Behavior. His teaching philosophy emphasizes applying theoretical concepts to real-world business scenarios within a Christ-centered environment.
Professional certifications include Professional Certified Marketer (AMA) and Certified Manager (ICPM). He serves as an Emeriti Member/Former Chair of WLC's Alumni Board, Alumni Capstone Mentor, and volunteers in My Team Triumph and his church's ministry/financial literacy programs. Outside academia, he enjoys triathlons, family travel, and supporting the Green Bay Packers.
