Jason Tselentis

Jason Tselentis is the Chair of the Department of Design and a Professor of Design at Winthrop University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts. He holds an M.F.A. in Visual Communication Design from the University of Washington and a B.F.A. in Studio Art from the University of Nebraska.

His research focuses on Graphic Design, Typography, and Visual Culture. He has contributed writings to Adweek, Arcade, Design Observer, Eye, Mental Floss, PanelxPanel, and Print magazines. Notable publications include Typography Referenced (co-authored), Type, Form and Function, and The Graphic Designer's Electronic-Media Manual.

He has consulted creative agencies on design best practices and volunteered as Development Director for the Charlotte AIGA, serving on their Advisory Board. His work spans corporate, academic, and nonprofit sectors in print and interactive design.
