Jason Taylor is a Professor of Philosophy at Regis College, Regis University, where he has served since 2017 as the founding Director of the Office of the First Year Experience. His academic journey began as a first-generation student at the University of Montana, followed by an MA in Classical Languages from Boston University and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Boston College.

Dr. Taylor’s scholarship and pedagogy focus on Western political philosophy, with a particular emphasis on translating and interpreting works from the Baroque period, such as Giambattista Vico’s The New Science (2020). He integrates contemplative and praxis-oriented approaches rooted in Jesuit higher education’s mission.
His research and teaching are deeply intertwined with service-learning initiatives. He co-founded Regis University’s En/Route program, inspired by his transformative eight-year involvement in Boston College’s PULSE service-learning program. His work emphasizes the role of first-year students as institutional assets and explores the intersection of education, ethics, and civic engagement.

Dr. Taylor also contributes to faculty development by co-facilitating the Ignatian Summer Institute for new faculty at Regis University.
