Jason Rodriquez is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Massachusetts Boston, specializing in medical sociology, aging, and disability studies. His research explores the emotional and organizational challenges of healthcare work in intensive care units (ICUs) and nursing homes, focusing on care dynamics, identity, and inclusive practices.
His peer-reviewed publications include the 2025 book On the Frontlines of Crisis: Intensive Care and the Challenge of COVID-19 and the 2014 book Labors of Love: Nursing Homes and the Structures of Care Work.
