Jason Rife

Jason Rife is a Full-Time Faculty member and Professor of Practice in the Department of Management, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship at the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University (SMU). He serves as the Director of Business Presentation Education and has a focus on teaching graduate and executive education students to build and deliver presentations.

• BBA from Texas Tech University

Rife’s career spans both corporate consulting and academia. Prior to joining SMU Cox, he worked with McKinsey, John Deere, and Exxon Mobil, where he frequently presented to senior executives and participated in MBA recruiting. His transition to academia included roles as a career and case competition coach at the University of Florida and eventually as Assistant Dean of Career Management and Graduate Admissions at SMU Cox.

His research and teaching interests center on business communication, presentation development, and career coaching. He is a co-author of a book on presentations for case competitions and interviews.
