Dr. Jason R. Westin is Professor in the Department of Lymphoma and Myeloma at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he serves as Director of the Lymphoma Clinical Research Program, Executive Leader of the Lymphoma & Myeloma Service Line, and Chief of Aggressive and Indolent Lymphoma. Nationally, he holds membership on the ASCO Board of Directors and previously chaired ASCO's Government Relations Committee, Finance Committee, and served as Treasurer of the ASCO Association Board.
His research pioneers innovative clinical trial design for lymphoma therapeutics, integrating circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) analysis and advanced tumor profiling into precision oncology. Dr. Westin led landmark trials including Smart Start/Stop for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and global Phase III studies (ZUMA-23, SUNMO, LOTIS-9, BELINDA, ALPHA3), fundamentally reshaping treatment paradigms through targeted agent combinations and immunotherapy approaches.
