Jason Price

Jason Price is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Chair in the Department of English at the University of North Alabama, within the College of Arts, Sciences, and Engineering. His research focuses on 20th/21st century British and Anglophone literature, postcolonialism, South African literature, animal studies, and ecocriticism. He holds a B.A. from The College of New Jersey (2006), an M.A. from Seton Hall (2008), and a Ph.D. from Arizona State University (2014).

His publications explore intersections of colonialism, animal ethics, and literary representation, including his monograph *Animals and Desire in South African Fiction* (2017) and articles in journals like *Configurations* and *ARIEL*. Courses taught include British literature surveys, literary criticism, and the English novel.

Price is affiliated with the Restorative Justice Lab and actively engages with interdisciplinary scholarship at the nexus of postcolonial theory and environmental humanities.
