Jason Muir

Jason Muir is an Assistant Professor of Applied Worship Arts at Kingswood University. He serves as Program Director and is actively engaged in equipping students with practical skills for worship leadership. A full-time worship leader with thirty years of experience, he also mentors younger leaders through his role as Worship Pastor at King’s Church.

His research and teaching focus on integrating theological principles with worship practices. Muir emphasizes experiential learning, aiming to bridge theory and practice in worship leadership. His work spans areas such as spiritual formation, Christian education, and practical theology.

As a mentor, Muir seeks to instill a deep understanding of worship leadership in students, preparing them to pastor congregations. He balances his academic role with ongoing leadership at King’s Church and collaborations with emerging worship leaders.

Muir earned his B.A. in English Literature with a Drama minor from Bishop’s University in 1998 and an M.A. in Pastoral Theology from Kingswood University in 2025. He resides in Sussex, NB, and enjoys sailing, golf, and skiing with his family.
