Jason Huber

Jason Huber is an Associate Instructor in the Department of English at Western Carolina University (WCU), where he has been affiliated since 2018. He holds an MA in Composition and Rhetoric from WCU and a BA in Creative Writing from New Mexico State University. His teaching philosophy emphasizes student-led exploration, rhetorical awareness, and classroom community-building. Huber’s research focuses on rhetorical theory, institutional rhetorics (e.g., probation systems, prisons), and pedagogical practices in composition courses. He actively contributes to academic discourse through conference presentations and serves on the board of the South Eastern Association of Cultural Studies, coordinating their annual conference.
